Founder and CEO
Bikram brings over 25 years of experience in technology, finance and product development, as well as a lifelong love of golf to QSchool Sports LLC. Recognizing the need for an affordable all-in-one productivity and customer engagement solution in sports instruction, he set out to build a platform so that players can utilize their scarcest resource - time - in the most effective way to elevate their playing ability. Bikram earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and engineering degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay as well as the University of Minnesota.

Dave Bove is the award winning PGA Director of Instruction at Tashua Knolls Golf Course in Trumbull, Connecticut. Dave was named the 2017 CTPGA Teacher of the Year, and is the youngest professional in Connecticut to earn this honor. He works with players of all abilities, from beginner to Tour Player, and is often sought after for consultation by his peers. He is an Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine (G.S.E.B.), a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor with the Titleist Performance Institute, and a former member (2009-2015) of the prestigious Proponent Group.

How It Works

  • Players can sign up and use the app for free.
  • Coaches pay a monthly $9.99 subscription fee.
  • Coaches have to fill out basic profile information and wait 1-2 business days for platform approval to go live in the app.
  • Players can review coach profiles and ratings to select the best coach for their needs.
  • They can search for and book an individual or group lesson or a golf event right through the app.
  • In the initial lesson, coach and player create an improvement plan, and use the in-app messaging and player log book to track progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Players pay for lessons right through the app, we handle all the payment processing and deposit funds into the pro’s bank account every week.
  • We deduct fees charged by the credit card company, currently 2.9% of the transaction amount plus $0.30.
  • We also deduct a nominal $0.99 lesson fee.

Example

  • A player books an individual lesson with a teaching pro who charges $80 per lesson.
  • Player pays the $80 through the app.
  • The payment processor charges 2.9% of $80 plus $0.30 = $2.32 + $0.30 = $2.62
  • The applicable lesson fee is $0.99.
  • Thus, the pro receives $76.39 (= $80 minus $2.62 minus $0.99) for the lesson

There are two ways you could’ve purchased the app…

QSchoolSports.com: If you registered and paid through the website at qschoolsports.com, you can manage your account online via the same site.

  • Go to qschoolsports.com
  • Click “My Account” on the top right of the homepage
  • Then sign in using the credentials you created when you first placed your order
  • Once signed in, click “Subscriptions” on the left side menu to view all subscriptions
  • Click “View” on the subscription you’d like to view, manage, or cancel

If you purchased the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you will have to cancel your subscription there. Please see the relevant FAQs for how to cancel through those systems.

For iPhone and Apple users, all charges, payments and subscriptions are managed directly by Apple inside of your iTunes account.

On your iPhone, you need to go to your phone’s SETTINGS, then follow the steps below:

1- select ‘iTunes & App Store’

2 – select ‘Apple ID’

3 – select ‘View Apple ID’ in the pop up

4 – select ‘Subscriptions’

5 – select ‘QSchool Golf’

6 – then select ‘Cancel Subscription’

For Android users, all charges, payments and subscriptions are managed through the Google Play store. To update, change or cancel a subscription, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Google Play Store .
  2. Tap Menu  >My apps > Subscriptions.
  3. Find the subscription you want to cancel and click on it.
  4. Tap Cancel

QSchool Golf App subscriptions can be purchased through iTunes, Google Play, and our Website.  All 3 purchasing methods hold your account information in a different system. If you’ve purchased your subscription through iTunes or Google, our customer service team unfortunately doesn’t have access to your account or payments. You will need to manage your app through your iTunes/Google Play account. This includes cancellation and refund requests.

iTunes and Google don’t offer the same discounts that we offer on our site, so if you’re wanting to take advantage of our deals, we recommend switching over to a subscription with our system.

You can update from iTunes/Google to our system without losing your account history using the steps below:

  • Login on qschoolsports.com using the SAME login credentials that you use for the app.
  • Purchase the subscription of your choice.
  • Make sure to cancel your iTunes/Google subscription to avoid being double charged.

The app will then remain active for the length of your newly purchased subscription.

If you’ve paid on our website, you’ll then need to install the app on your mobile device from the app store. Sometimes it will ask you to pay a second time, we don’t want you to do that!

When you first open the app, click on “Already a member? Sign in here” and enter your email address and password that you used to sign up on our website.

If you have any trouble when trying to login please try to uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes it just needs a good refresh.

Then when you first open the app, make sure to click “Already a member? Sign in here”

The username is case sensitive, so make sure your Caps Lock key is not turned on by mistake.

If that doesn’t work, please try resetting your password.

Full app functionality is only available on a mobile device right now. This includes Cell Phones, iPads, and Tablets.

When you login to your account on a desktop or laptop, you will only be able to see your basic account information and payment method.

We may in the future be able to make certain features available on a computer, so stay tuned!

You should be able to use the app on multiple devices, but your account will have trouble updating if you don’t do it right.

You can only be logged in to one device at a time in order for it to update correctly, so before logging in to a second device- make sure you completely log out of the first device. Make sure to do this the other way around as well.

Our site does not currently offer a free trial period. You can find a free trial period through iTunes or Google Play, however if you sign up through iTunes or Google, your account information will be held in their systems and our customer care team will not have full access to your account and payments. Signing up directly through our website (qschoolsports.com) will ensure that our customer care team can always assist with your account, and you will be able to take advantage of special discounts and sales that iTunes and Google do not offer.

The app is only capable of tracking progress for one person. Remember that the app is free for players so each individual should create and use their own account.

Our app is very versatile and supports two types of users – coaches and players. Players can see all the coaches on the platform but coaches can only communicate with players who have signed up for lessons with them. Players can not communicate with other players at this time within the app, as the coach-player relationship is its focus.

The amount of time between a monthly billing interval is one month. This means 30 days for some months (April, June etc.), 31 days for others, and then 28 or 29 days for February. If a monthly subscription is created on the 15th of February, the next payment will be charged on the 15th March. 

What about subscriptions purchased on the last day of the month?

If a subscription is purchased on the last day of the month, recurring payments will continue to be charged on the last day of the month. For example, if a $10 / month subscription is purchased on the 31st December, its next 4 payments will be charged on:

  • 31st January
  • 28th February (or 29th February for a leap year)
  • 31st March
  • 30th April

 

What about recurring payments on the 29th or 30th day of the month?

This system will also be used if the day a payment is normally charged is not the last day of the month, but it is on the 29th or 30th day of the month, and the next payment is due in February, which has no 30th day (and no 29th day in non-leap years).

For example, if a $10/month subscription is purchased on the 29th December 2020, the next 4 payments will be charged on:

  • 29th January 2021- not the last day of the month
  • 28th February 2021 – notice it has switched to the last day of the month as there is no 29th day in February when it is not a leap year
  • 31st March 2021 (last day of the month)
  • 30th April 2021 (last day of the month)

This logic ensures that a payment is made every month, and therefore, that one year includes 12 payments.
